nímhur is the moniker used by Irish visual artist Bláthnaid Ní Mhurchú, based in Dublin, Ireland. Raised in an Irish-speaking (or ‘Gaelic’) family of ten children, nímhur was fully immersed from a young age in curiosity and wonder, using art, imagination and her love of nature to make sense of the world around her.

Her work has exhibited in Ireland and internationally, where she has been honoured to receive several prestigious awards, including awards from The Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition and the Ballinglen Museum of Art’s 2nd Biennale.
